About this artist
Mia Serra is a professional solo belly dancer as well as director and choreographer of the the Marshalla dance company, which has performed at Grosvenor House Hotel, Waldorf Hilton, Sri Lanka and on ITV with rap artist Akon. She originally studied dance with Sufi Master Adnan Sarhan and is noted for her graceful, flowing style and a smile that lights up the room.
The numerous venues she has danced at include the Royal Festival Hall, Park Lane Hotel, The Langham, Victoria and Albert Museum, Wimbledon 2005, top restaurant Momo and nightclub ChinaWhite. Mia has been invited to dance at festivals around the world including the Skirball centre in Los Angeles, Maastricht festival and Glastonbury 2005 with bands such as Celloman, Oojami and Zohar. She has been invited to teach at Julliard in New York and currently teaches sold out courses at London’s Danceworks studio.
Her instructional DVD 'Sensual Belly Dance' was released in July 2005. She also stays toned and fit through her work as an advanced level Pilates instructor.
Mia also provides exquisite entertainment for weddings, birthdays and corporate functions.
